If you have ever purchased something online you may be familiar with a couple of terms such as shipment date and estimated delivery. These two dates let you know (1) when the person that had what you ordered took it to UPS, USPS, or FedEx and got it shipped and (2) about when you can expect to receive it.
I thought about this during service today because during worship God whispered to me shipment date. I have been waiting and waiting and waiting…oh did I mention I’ve been waiting? (lol) for some things to finally come and He sent me a “confirmation notice” today that what I was waiting on and praying for had now been released from the hands of the owner (Him) and will soon reach my door steps!
Once you receive notice that your order had been shipped typically they will also tell you between what two days to be looking for your order. Sometimes it may be 3 to 5 days while other times it may be 14 to 21 days (depending on how much you paid for shipping).
So spiritually speaking, if you have placed an order (prayer, petition, request) to God then you need to be in anticipation for His “email confirmation” letting you know when He has released your blessing from Heaven down to Earth.
Once you receive this “confirmation” He may even tell you approximately when to expect that blessing. For example, He told Abraham exactly when Sarah would have a child.
Once He has released it from Heaven and has given it permission to make its way towards you you can rest assured that sooner or later what you have been looking for is on it’s way because it is actually looking for you too. Signed, sealed, delivered baby!
If you want to “pay a little more” to get your order in a little quicker then try fasting, try praising, try worshiping, try praying, and most importantly try waiting patiently and thankfully 😉
What you are looking for is looking for you! Your shipment date is now! So be on the look out for it! Make room for it!
Isn’t that just music to your ears and food for the soul!?
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
